Giving Your Hair a Fresh Start

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TRESemmé for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you ever used dry shampoo?  If you have fine hair that gets weighed down easily by natural oils, you may have.  At certain times of the year, I’m one of those people.  I need to wash my hair every day, lest I start to resemble the lady who talks to lawn chairs and lives in the dumpster behind your office.  You know the one.  But in the winter, when the air becomes dry, daily washing sucks the life out of my hair and turns it to brittle, dry straw.
When I first heard about dry shampoo, I thought the idea came straight from NASA.  Well it turns out, the idea isn’t new.  Now don’t I look smart.
What IS new, though, is a line of dry shampoo products from Tresemme.  While nothing will clean your hair like a good old fashioned wet shampoo, a dry shampoo -  like TRESemmé Fresh Start Dry Shampoo -is a huge time saver, and keeps it from looking oily or dirty — it can buy me an extra day or two between sessions of blow drying and flat ironing my unruly curls into submission. This also reduces the amount of heat I subject my hair to, so it's softer and has fewer split ends.  And by not wet shampooing as much, I leave in more of my hair's natural oils and it looks shinier.  Definitely one of those must-have Top Hair Products for School. Need a fresh look in between classes?  Done!  Exactly.
Tresemme Fresh Start is available at most drugstores, and is a totally affordable way to help maintain happy hair through all types of weather.  The folks there even offer some helpful tips for getting the best results.  Check out some of their dry shampoo beauty do's:
- Do shake vigorously before use and in between spray bursts for best results.
- Do lift sections of dry hair and spray lightly at roots
- Do spray in short bursts, holding 8-12 inches from head
- Don’t spray it like hair spray (all over and continuously)
- Do leave in for 1-2 minutes.
- Do use fingertips or a brush to distribute product evenly
The full line includes a Strengthening Dry Shampoo, Volumizing Dry Shampoo, Soothing Dry Shampoo and a Moisturizing Waterless Foam Shampoo, so there is something available for every hair type out there.
To help you out even further, Tresseme even put together this handy-dandy tutorial video to help you use the products properly and maximize the super effect.
