Finding Beauty in the Fall

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Scotts Miracle-Gro. All opinions are 100% mine.
It's finally fall and after a long, hot, dry summer, I'm 1,000% ready!
I know most people think spring when you think about the most beautiful time of the year for plants and flowers outdoors.  But the truth is, fall is totally underrated.
The all the changing colors provide a beautiful backdrop for rich fall plants, whether in containers or planted in the ground, and that makes it easy to Find beauty in the Fall.
We don't have very mature trees at Casa V, so I'm excited to do some Fall gardening and spruce things up with containers with some color!
I love covering the porch and the deck in pumpkins and mums - there is something about them that makes any entry warm and inviting for fall.
I pinned this picture the other day and thought it would be a fun way to spruce up my outdoor space for fall!
And it's pretty simple, right?
I mean, even I can do this! :)
You just need:

- Pumpkins
- Mums
- Something to keep the flowers alive:

Just hollow out your pumpkins like you would to carve them.  Make sure the hole in the top is wide enough to accommodate the width of your potted plants.
When you purchase your mums from any of the big box stores or your local nursery, they'll come in those plastic containers with the drainage holes in the bottom - you can go ahead and leave them in those plastic pots.  (When they're set in the pumpkins, you won't be able to see them.)
You don't have to fill the pumpkins with dirt, but I would add some Miracle-Gro Potting Soil to the mix.  It will help feed your plants for up to 6 months with Miracle-Gro Continuous Release Plant Food, and its
rich, organic materials help improve drainage and air flow.

Easy Peasy, right?
