Kitchen Chairs On the Cheap [Before & After]

Mr. V. has a GINORMOUS family.
Did I ever tell you that?  They are wonderful, fun people, but there are A LOT of them.  So when it's time to get together, logistically creating enough space for 20+ people to sit for a meal can be a daunting task.
This year we're up to bat in the rotation for Christmas, so it's time to start space planning
(Yes. In July.  Don't judge me.)

Let There be [More] Light!

Nothing gets by you guys. :)

Several astute readers pointed out to me that they noticed a little somethin' somethin' extra in my post about the chalkboard wall in my kitchen.
Yep, I finally got my pendant lights!

Be Bold. Be Brave. And Change is Good.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Revlon. All opinions are 100% mine.
I’d like to believe I’m a creative person, but when it comes to certain areas, my sense of flair, risk and that creativity goes out the window.  Paint my walls a bold and risky color?
No problem.

It's Just Paint...

I'm a total believer in the power of paint - in my opinion it's the single easiest, lowest-risk way to transform a room.
While there are bigger, riskier plans on the horizon for my kitchen, this isn't one of them.
However, even I was surprised at how much depth (and fun! :) ) this simple addition made to the room.

Kitchen Jewelry

Adding or changing hardware is one of the single easiest ways to change up or update a kitchen (or bathroom, or piece of furniture...).

Building our house wasn't the most glorious process for us.  In fact, thanks to our builder, it was pretty stressful.  We had to make every design choice for the house - including every electrical, exterior, structural, etc. decision - in one, 2-hour session.  When we left, I wanted to cry, I was so overwhelmed.

A Little Love for the Landing

Today's post is a quick one...
just another small update I made while on maternity leave.

On the second floor of our house, we don't have the traditional long hall of rooms on either side.
Instead, you're greeted with a large landing and the 4 bedrooms and the guest bathroom surrounding you.
